Hop to it !!!

Woo Hoo, Dustin Pike has a new challenge - "Spring themed"!!

Isn't he adorable!  As you can see this is not my usual "less is more" style - and I had a blast doing it.  My only concern now is that I got a little carried away with the 3D aspect of it so it won't fit in an envelope.  Oh well, I'll just have to learn how to make a box .......

Image: Dustin Pike
Paper: Country Companions - For someone special
Colouring: Copics, Chalk & Distress inks
Additional: Doo Hickey Border, Nestability, QK die, sewing machine, Raffia, MS Punch, flowers & beads from stash

As you can see I didn't just decorate the front this time - this is the first time I've really done this and I suspect it won't be the last.  But I deliberately made it plainer than the front - it should compliment not compete.

Here's a side view - apologies for the photography - not my forte (still learning) - but hopefully you can just about see that the main bunny is mounted on sticky pads.  I've then printed & coloured a second pot/paws & stuck that over the first image with more sticky pads.  I also layered strips of raffia under the pot to simulate a wooden bench, colouring it with copics & prismacolor to indicate light & shade.

And last but by no means least I did remember to take a picture of the Copics used - and yet again for such a small image its amazing how many there are!!!!

Good luck to everyone who is entering Dustin's Challenge - Love the new look of his blog don't you & I can't wait to see what images he has in store for us over the coming months............

Happy Crafting

So cute!! I tend to buy 61/2 inch square envelopes for my 6x6 cards to allow room for dimention and that works really well. I just slip a square of bubble wrap in there too. THis last time I ordered 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 inch envelopes and I can only fit flat cards in it. Its such a pain!
